Jose Reyes cut his hair to leave the Show as the last remaining holdout in the great 2007 Bald Bonanza. For some reason, this is big news in the NY media.

Told of Reyes' decision, Willie Randolph was pleased.

"I'm sure he's cute," the manager said. Told he and Reyes now look more alike, Randolph said, "I'm better looking than he is."

"Willie Randolph said he was especially unhappy about the play Tuesday night during which Carlos Delgado was thrown out by about 20 feet on a throw from Florida center fielder Alfredo Amezaga. "It was a mistake to send him," he said. "That's pretty obvious when you have a guy thrown out like that."

"Next time around Sandy will read it a little better," Randolph said. "Basically it was a read. It happens once in awhile. I coached that base for 11 years. Sandy's been around for a long time. Every once in awhile you get a bad read. That's all it is."
